She currently lives in New York City. Chando was a student at Manhattan College before becoming an actor. Chando played the character Maddie Coleman in the TV soap show As The World Changes between 2005 and 2007 and, for a short period from late 2009 onwards, she reprised the role. Alexandra began her career in acting in the TV series House Blend on which she portrayed Jenna Harper. After three years she played on the American soap opera on TV which was telecast on CBS, As the World Turns in the role of Maddie Coleman. Later in 2009, Chando got a role in the American documentary television series True life and further appeared on the show Sherri. Additionally, she was a part of two episodes of the American comedy-drama show Glory Daze as Annabelle. Also, she was in Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
